SMS opt-in
How text consent works
DARA only texts contacts who initiate a conversation, provide their phone number for coordination, or confirm they want DARA to coordinate by SMS.
Opt-in flow
- A vendor or contact starts the conversation, provides their number, or confirms that DARA may coordinate by text.
- DARA states the purpose: vendor coordination, scheduling, appointment logistics, and support.
- DARA provides opt-out language: reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
- The contact can continue the coordination thread, or opt out at any time.
Example
Contact: “You can text me here about Dallas’s appointment.”
DARA: “Thanks. DARA uses SMS only for vendor coordination, scheduling, appointment logistics, and support. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Msg/data rates may apply.”
Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services. Mobile opt-in data, SMS consent, and phone numbers are not sold or shared for marketing.
